The crew at D&P traveled to beautiful Lake Havasu City, Arizona on Saturday October 20 for the Run to the Sun car show.
This was the 35th annual event that took place at the Nautical Beach Front Resort.
It was a beautiful sunny day with the temps in the 80’s. There were hundreds of hot rods and classic cars and trucks in attendance. They also had a band playing good old rock and roll.
One of the cars in attendance was a 1955 Chevy Nomad custom that D&P just completed the previous day and delivered to the show. The D&P crew worked some long hours in the days before the show to get the Nomad finished. The owner a resident of Havasu took delivery and immediately started cruising the streets of Havasu as he worked his way to the car show.
The Relics & Rods club did a great job as usual putting on the car show. There were also dozens of vendors, a swap meet, and a car corral. The show takes place on the grounds of the Nautical Resort with car parked all over the rolling grassy grounds.
We had a great time at the show and look forward to next years event. Arizona is a beautiful state with some of the most beautiful scenery in the country and a lot of great people.
