D&P Classic Chevy recently completed a complete modernization of a 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo for a professional football player in the NFL. D&P was asked to install a modern dependable power train in the vintage Chevy. D&P took the Monte Carlo down to a shell and then began the build from the frame up. The customer was looking for a little more power and D&P installed a GM Performance LS3 fuel injected crate engine along with a 4L65e 4 speed automatic transmission.  To gain even more power a Magnacharger supercharger unit from Magnuson to enhance power on the “beefy” Monte Carlo. The classic Chevy was treated to a full list of modern improvements to provide for great drivability, lots of power, comfort and dependability.  Other upgrades included vintage air conditioning, tilt column, modern power steering, four wheel power disc brakes, custom stereo system, custom leather interior, American autowire updated wiring system, and much more. This big Monte flys and it’s a blast to drive.

Custom Built 1964 Chevelle SS

D&P recently complete a complete body-off the frame restoration of a one owner 1964 Chevelle SS. The restoration included several upgrades for comfort and dependability including a new GM Performance 350 Crate engine, 4 speed automatic transmission, power steering, disc brakes, vintage air conditioning and much more.

For those of you who think you’ve seen that cab before you’re right.

A while back the crew at D&P was asked to design and build a hot rod Checker Cab for the New York New York Hotel. The build was featured on the television program “Rides”.  For those of you who missed it D&P took a stock cab and put it on a new chassis and installed a blown Hemi engine and all the goodies. The cab was displayed at the SEMA show in Las Vegas and now resides at the Hotel and is on display. Nice to see the liked our design and built a roller coast in the likeness of our Hot Rod Cab.  Complete project feature to be debuted on our website soon!  Check back for more details!

Fairplex in Pomona, CA

The crew from D&P recently attended the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, Calif. As many of you know car enthusiasts from around the world attend the show. There were hundreds of beautiful hot rods from through out the country at the show.

The weather looked bad as the show began as it was raining on Thursday and Friday during set up. Fortunately we all got a break from the weather and Saturday and Sunday were mostly dry.

D&P brought several cars to the show. This includes John Gilsons 1957 Olds 98 Convertible Custom, Dave Cook’s 1955 Chevy Nomad Custom, and Bill Verboon’s 1932 Ford Roadster. All of these cars were award winners.

While at the show we were joined by our friends Darrell Sheets from Storage Wars and LaTroy Hawkins from the California Angels. Feel free to share these with your friends on facebook.
